The KLSMC Sports Imaging centre offers 3 main services:

• Open MRI
• Digital Radiography
• Digital Ultrasound

• Bone Mass Densitometry
• Mammography

The imaging centre utilizes some of the most advanced technology and is supported by an archiving facility which stores images. If patients lose or damage their X-ray or MRI films, copies can be obtained for a nominal charge. The Sports Imaging centre is also web-enabled so that our doctors can seek a second opinion from other specialists in other parts of the world should it be required. Referring doctors will be able to view images of their patients on the web.

Open MRI

KLSMC offers the latest Open MRI from Siemens - the Siemens Magnetom C! This state-of-the-art system features an ‘open’ concept so MRI patients no longer need to go through an enclosed and often claustrophobic ‘scanning tunnel’.

• Safe and painless way for doctors to ‘see’ inside your body
• Highly detailed images for more accurate analysis
• Excellent imaging of soft tissues like muscle, nerve, discs and ligaments

Digital Radiography and Ultrasound

• Full length weight bearing X-Rays of the lower limbs and spine
• The ultrasound enables high-resolution, real time scanning of tendons, ligaments, nerves and soft tissue swellings
