Traci Gault, 38
(Ex-Occupational Therapist and Full-Time Mum) Traci Gault is in for cartilage damage and mal-tracking of her knee caps. Being a very cautious individual, she originally did not intend to have surgery in Malaysia and was planning to go back to the States for it. Her knee problems were not that severe (it only hurt maybe three times a year) and would not really be classified as an emergency. After speaking with Dr Saw, however, Traci began to change her mind. “Dr Saw is very good,” she says. “He knew exactly what could be done and explained everything to me.” Traci, being from the medical field herself, was still not entirely convinced so she did some research of her own and was very impressed with the stem cell treatment KLSMC was offering. These stem cells would be harvested from her own body and re-injected into her knee to promote cartilage regrowth, a treatment even the US did not offer. Furthermore, with stem-cell injections, the cartilage will continue to grow beyond a year. Traci was also concerned about the safety of the surgery so she toured the facility and found that the operating theatres were top-notch. And since it was a specialist orthopaedic centre, there wasn’t much chance of catching other diseases. Traci finally underwent lateral release and multiple drilling on her knee and is very pleased with the outcome. Recovery has been fast and she could jog three and a half months after the surgery.
