Why Consult a Hand Surgeon?

To perform it's function, our hands require motion and sensibility. The motion depends on joint movement, tendon gliding and muscle contraction. The sensibility depends on skin, nerves and it's blood supply.

Hand therapy is a specialized program designed to provide exercises and activities to help return the hand to normal use and function. Hand Therapists are Physio or Occupational Therapists with specialized training in rehabilitation of the Upper Limb. Achieving the best result following a hand condition or injury is a team effort involving the patient, Hand Surgeon and Hand Therapist.
