Dr.Raveenthiran Rasiah graduated with an MBBS from Kasturba Medical College Manipal, India in 1983. He continued his education and was awarded a Masters in Anaesthesia (Malaya) from the University of Malaya in 1993. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia (FAMM).

His career in anaesthesia began in the Department of Anaesthesia in Ipoh Hospital, Perak and subsequently in the University Hospital of Kuala Lumpur where he is still practising as a Visiting Consultant Anaesthetist. He was also attached to the Department of Anaesthesia at the Whiston Hospital, Merseyside and Royal Liverpool Hospital, United Kingdom for 3 years.

He has 14 years working experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist and has set up intensive care units at:

• NCI Cancer Hospital and Specialist Clinic, Nilai, Negri Sembilan
• Apollo TTDI Medical Centre (Taman Tun Dr Ismail) Kuala Lumpur
• Arunamarie Specialist Medical Centre, Klang.

He is also currently a Visiting Consultant Anaesthetist at NCI Cancer Hospital and Specialist Clinic, Nilai, Negri Sembilan and Apollo TTDI Medical Centre Kuala Lumpur.
